WHAT IT IS

The whole picture, not one slice of it

A structured assessment of the CEO situation, across all five dimensions. It gives you an objective view of the CEO, the leadership team, the business, and the board, and identifies the priorities with the greatest potential impact.

It stands on its own. Starting the Check-Up is not a commitment to twelve months, and plenty of CEOs take it, act on what it says, and go no further. That is a good outcome.

WHAT IT COVERS

Doing and being, across five dimensions

Five dimensions, each assessed on two axes.

The Person

Judgement, self-awareness, energy, and the patterns you carry into decisions.

The CEO

Decision quality, priorities, where your attention goes, and where you are the constraint.

The Team

Capability, honesty, and whether your leadership team performs as one.

The Business

Performance, strategy, execution discipline, and where enterprise value is created or lost.

The Board

Governance, the quality of challenge you receive, and whether the board is an asset or an obligation.

The two axes are what you do and how you are. Most assessments measure only the first. They can tell you what a CEO did. They rarely tell you why.

HOW IT WORKS

Three sessions, four to eight weeks

CEO Snapshot

A working session on the business and your role in it as things stand. Nothing to prepare beyond turning up honestly.

CEO FITness Assessment

The formal assessment across all five dimensions, on both axes.

CEO Portrait

The session where it comes together. What the assessment shows, what it means, and the highest value moves from here.

WHAT YOU GET

An honest picture, and a decision either way

You finish with your CEO Portrait. A clear reading of where you stand across all five dimensions, the patterns underneath the results, and a short list of the moves that matter most in the next twelve months.

Most CEOs already suspect two or three things on that list. Seeing them stated plainly, with evidence behind them, is what makes them possible to act on.

From there the decision is yours. Take the Portrait and work on it yourself. Bring in a Sprint for one area that needs depth. Or begin the CEO FITness Journey.

The Check-Up is built to make that decision obvious rather than to pre-empt it.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions CEOs ask before booking

The Check-Up is deliberately contained. You should know what it involves before you commit.

  • Coaching works on you. The Check-Up works on you, your leadership team, your business, and your board, because the constraint in one is usually created by another. Erik's background covers all five dimensions rather than one.

  • Three working sessions across four to eight weeks, plus the assessment itself. It is built for a calendar that is already full.

  • No. The Check-Up is a complete engagement. Many CEOs act on the Portrait themselves and come back later, or not at all.

  • The assessment covers the team dimension. Whether members take part directly is agreed with you before the work begins.

  • Entirely. Nothing discussed leaves the engagement, and nothing is shared with your board or your team without your agreement.
